Annual fundraiser is successful
Members of the Kinston-Lenoir County Friends of the Library held their ninth annual cruise drawing — its biggest annual fundraiser — to support the Friends’ programs throughout the year.
The drawing was conducted during the “South Pacific Luau Party” held March 3 in the library’s Schechter Auditorium, and Maxine Fisher held the winning ticket. The top prize was a choice — $2,500 cash or a seven-day Caribbean cruise for two. Fisher chose the cash.
The Friends extend a big thanks to everyone who made this event such a huge success.
