Members of the Schechter Leadership Society braved the icy elements Jan. 25 to attend the 2013 Schechter Leadership Society Reception at the Community Council for the Arts.
The annual event honors the commitment of leaders in the community for their gifts of volunteerism, advocacy and financial support of the Lenoir-Greene United Way.
The Society is named in memory of Sol Schechter and in honor of Pearl Schechter for their longstanding support and leadership of United Way.
