The KinstonHigh Schoolboys basketball team is back in some familiar territory — headed to a state championship game. The Vikings defeated Fairmont, 68-41, in the regional finals in Fayetteville Saturday to advance to the team's fifth title appearance in seven years. They'll play Waxhaw Cuthbertson — a team they defeated in last year's 2A championship — in Chapel Hill next Saturday. The boys will be joined in Chapel Hill by the Kinstongirls' basketball team, which defeated Siler City Jordan-Matthews in the 2A Eastern Regional finals; the Vikings girls will play Canton Pisgah, also on Saturday.
