The following incidents were reported by the Kinston Dept. of Public Safety and the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office:
On Feb. 1, a man on East Caswell Street, Kinston, reported an acquaintance struck him in the head with a stick, resulting in minor injuries. The incident was cleared by an arrest.
On Feb. 1, a representative of Select Foods on U.S. 70 W., Kinston, reported an unspecified amount of money was stolen from a money bag.
On Feb. 1, a man on Joyner Drive, Kinston, reported the theft of a Cadillac Deville valued at $3,000.
On Feb. 1, a representative of the Kinston Dept. of Public Safety reported a suspect on College Street, Kinston, resisted arrest while possessing narcotics and a firearm with an altered serial number.
On Feb. 2, a man on North Herritage Street, Kinston, reported being shot in the abdomen, resulting in major injuries.
On Feb. 2, a woman on Polock Street, Kinston, reported a suspect grabbed her from behind in an attempt to steal her purse. No injuries were reported.
On Feb. 2, a man on Haynes Drive, La Grange, reported suspects broke into his residence and stole the following: A Philips 50" TV valued at $500; a DeWalt drill valued at $250; miscellaneous tools valued at $300.
Damages to an exterior window were estimated at $300.
On Feb. 2, a man reported suspects cut copper tubing from a hot water heater/sinks at a residence on Water Chestnut Drive, Kinston. The stolen copper is valued at $50. Damages to the residence were estimated at $500.
On Feb. 2, a reported the theft of a green GMC Safari van valued at $3,000. Also reported stolen was a Galaxy phone valued at $300 and various tools valued at $500. The incident occurred at a residence on Howard Street, Kinston.
On Feb. 3, a representative of Piggly Wiggly on North Heritage Street, Kinston, reported a suspect shoplifted the following: Two packages of Kit Kat bars valued at $10.01 and two packages of pop tarts valued at $9.94. All items were recovered and the incident was cleared by an arrest.
On Feb. 5, a woman on Richard Green Court, Kinston, reported the following stolen: A Galaxy tablet valued at $400.
On Feb. 5, a woman on Old Snow Hill Road, Kinston, reported the theft of a 17" Toshiba computer valued at $700.
On Feb. 5, a woman on N.C. 58 South, Kinston, reported a suspect stole a purse from her vehicle. The purse is valued at $40 (recovered) and contained $200 cash (not recovered).
On Feb. 5, a representative of Sale Auto Mall reported a subject attempted to generate a fraudulent check valued at $12,845. The incident occurred at a financial institution on Battleground Avenue, Kings Mountain.
On Feb. 6, a man on East Peyton Avenue, Kinston, reported the following stolen: A wallet valued at $5; cash totaling $1,200; a driver's license valued at $10; two credit/debit cards.
On Feb. 7, a domestic argument on Fred Jones Road, La Grange, resulted in an assault on a female. Minor injuries were reported.
On Feb. 8, a man on East Peyton Avenue, Kinston, reported the following stolen:
On Feb. 11, a woman on East Lenoir Street, Kinston, reported her ex-boyfriend forced her into her home while yielding a handgun. No injuries were reported.
On Feb. 11, a man on Betty Street, Kinston, reported a neighbor pointed a BB gun at him and communicated threats. Prosecution was declined.
On Feb. 11, a man reported the theft of a Case hydro 3pt hitch arm valued at $900. The incident occurred on an open land area on Vine Swamp Road, Kinston.
On Feb. 12, a woman on Carver Court, Kinston, reported her boyfriend assaulted her with his fist. No injuries were reported.
On Feb. 12, a representative of Western Southern Live Insurance on Plaza Boulevard, Kinston, reported someone paid for services using a $20 counterfeit bill.
On Feb. 12, a man on Georgetown Road, Kinston, reported someone broke into his residence and stole the following: A 9mm Glock 17 gun valued at $680; ammunition valued at $25; cash totaling $18. Damages to a door were estimated at $200.
On Feb. 12, representative of the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office reported a suspect possessed the following on Washington/Independence Street, Kinston: Porable weighing scales valued at $5; a glass crack pipe stem valued at $2; assorted medicinal items for ailments valued at $5.
On Feb. 12, a mother and son argument fueled by alcohol on Kelly Road, Kinston, resulted in communicated threats and drunk/disruptive behavior. Prosecution was declined.
On Feb. 13, a representative of the City of Kinston reported the theft of 13 storm grates valued at $2,600.
On Feb. 13, a man on Bonnnie Lane, Kinston, reported the theft of a stove an portable grill from his back yard. The appliances are valued at $125.
On Feb. 13, a woman on Cooks Alley, Kinston, reported a friend stole $100 from her.
On Feb. 13, a woman on West Blount Avenue, Kinston, reported her boyfriend punched, scratched and kicked her, resulting in minor injuries.
On Feb. 13, a representative of the Kinston Dept. of Public Safety reported a suspect in a parking lot on Plaza Boulevard, Kinston, possessed narcotics and paraphernalia.
On Feb. 13, a representative of the Kinston Dept. of Public Safety reported a suspect on U.S. 70 West, Kinston, reported a suspect possessed a glass pipe valued at $10 and a box of Swisher Sweet cigars valued at $3. The report also stated the suspect possessed marijuana.
On Feb. 13, a man on Coleman Drive, Kinston, reported someone broke into his residence and stole the following: A 50" Sony TV valued at $800; a Dell computer valued at $450; currency totaling $400. Damages to a window were estimated at $25.
On Feb. 13, a man on Bulltown Road, La Grange, reported the theft of a basketball goal valued at $25.
On Feb. 13, a representative of a financial institution on West Vernon Avenue, Kinston, reported the theft of $500.
On Feb. 14, a representative of Telamon Corporation reported an attempt to misappropriate $14,000 in federal funds. the incident occurred at Lenoir Community College, Kinston. The case is closed/leads have been exhausted.
On Feb. 14, a representative of Walmart on West Vernon Avenue, Kinston, reported a suspect stole the following; two flowers valued at $15.88 (recovered); a stuffed animal valued at $9.97 (recovered); a stuffed animal valued at $19.97 (recovered).
On Feb. 14, a woman on Queens Road, Kinston, reported someone broke into her residence and stole an LG 32" TV valued at $250. Damages to a door jam were estimated at $20.
On Feb. 14, a woman on Airlee Road, Kinston, reported someone broke into her vehicle and stole loose changed valued at $5.
On Feb. 14, a man on East King Street, Kinston, reported the theft of a 5x10 utility trailer valued at $400.
On Feb. 14, a representative of Cardinal Chemicals on Sparre Drive, Kinston, reported the following stolen: A GMC Yukon valued at $18,000 (recovered); three credit cards; one check book.
On Feb. 16, a woman on U.S. 70 W., Kinston, reported someone stole a purse from her vehicle. The purse is valued at $45 (recovered), and contained cash totaling $75 (not recovered). The incident occurred in a parking lot on U.S. 70 West, Kinston.
On Feb. 16, a woman on Sycamore Avenue, Kinston, reported someone shoved her into a counter and dragged her, resulting in minor injuries.
On Feb. 16, a representative of the Kinston Dept. of Public Safety reported a suspect on N.C. 11 North, Kinston, possessed less than 1/2 ounce of marijuana.
On Feb. 19, a woman on Doctor's Drive, Kinston, reported the following items stolen from a shed attached to her residence: Four automobile rims valued at $2,000; two automobile tires valued at $200.
On Feb. 20, a man on Albritton's Road, Kinston, reported finding the following near the driveway of his residence: A large black bra valued at $15; 'Do It Best' ladies black jersey gloves valued at $5.
On Feb. 20, a representative of K&A Farms reported unknown subjects dumped a large amount of liquid into an incinerator. Damages to the incinerator were estimated at $50. The incident occurred on Seth West Road, Kinston.
On Feb. 20, a student was charged with assaulting a teacher at North Lenoir High School. No injuries were reported.
On Feb. 21, a student at South Lenoir High School was found in possession of two razor blades. Prosecution was declined.
On Feb. 21, a woman on North Queen Street, Kinston, reported someone entered her vehicle through the rear window and siphoned fuel valued at $30. Damages to the vehicle were estimated at $200.
On Feb. 21, a representative of Northwest School on Old Well Road, Kinston, reported playground equipment had been set on fire. Damages were estimated at $200.
On Feb. 24, a man on Hodges Road, Kinston, reported someone broke into his vehicle and stole the following: Currency totaling $100; a wallet containing debit card valued at $100.
On Feb. 25, a man on Hardee Road, Kinston, reported someone broke into his residence and stole the following: A Vizio TV valued at $300 (recovered). Damages to a window were estimated at $50.
On Feb. 27, a man on U.S. 58 South, Kinston, reported the following stolen: A 12-volt electric wench (value not listed); a car radiator (value not listed); a 30' electric cord (valued not listed).
On Feb. 27, it was reported that a subject used a firearm to shoot/kill a dog. The incident occurred on Tracy Road, Deep Run.
