Company presents service awards
Wall Lenk Corporation, a leading manufacturer of electric and butane powered tools, has recognized four employees recently for continuous service with the company.
Receiving recognition were Cherie Kittrell for 15 years; Cathy Hicks, 25 years; Dale Dawson, 40 years; and Peggy Garris, 40 years.

queue llc, a marketing and advertising agency with corporate offices in Raleigh and in the Columbia, S.C. area, has been recognized with a first-place Wallie Award for creative excellence for its work for Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
The Wallie awards are presented annually by the Carolinas Healthcare, Public Relations and Marketing Society, which covers both North and South Carolina. queue and Lenoir Memorial won first place for the design of the hospital’s cancer center brochure.
“We are thrilled to be recognized by our marketing peers in winning this prestigious award. To earn this recognition in such a competitive category says a lot about the quality work we are producing for our clients,” said queue President Juana Quick.
“We are especially excited to win the gold Wallie award,” said Barbara LaRoque, Marketing coordinator for Lenoir Memorial. “The exceptional quality of the brochure is indicative of the outstanding level of care our cancer patients receive at our hospital.”
Wallie awards are given annually at the Carolinas Healthcare, Public Relations and Marketing Society’s conference to recognize excellence in Healthcare, Public Relations and Marketing. Members compete in dozens of categories, and a panel of healthcare professionals chooses the winners. This year’s awards banquet was held in Charleston, S.C.
