A man armed with a shotgun threatened to kill his family Sunday night.
Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 3200 block of Sargett Brown Road in Deep Run at 10:52 p.m. Sunday to a call of a dangerous domestic disturbance.
According to an LCSO incident report, a 38-year-old white male was armed and said he intended to murder at least two of his family members that night.
Deputies arrested the suspect, and seized a small amount of marijuana at the scene. He is believed to have been intoxicated at the time.
According to the incident report, initial charges are carrying a concealed weapon and communicating threats.
LCSO Chief Deputy Chris Hill said he would provide more information on the case late Monday night or today.
