Fun Run

Prior to Saturday morning’s main event, The Kinston 8000: Run for the River, children, adults and even pets, took part in the one-mile Fun Run at Neuseway Park.

Grinning children raced each other down West Caswell Street from the Nature Center toward the fishing ponds, turning back at the half-mile point, and finishing the loop back where they started.

After crossing the finish line, all participants were awarded a medal for their participation.
