Luke Jackson tossed three no-hit innings and the Hawks defeated host Eastern Wayne, 4-2, on Tuesday to snap a six-game losing streak and pick up their first Eastern Carolina 3A Conference win of the year.
Sammy West had two hits and scored a run and Caleb Baird and Seth Beard added a pair of hits and an RBI each.
Right-hander Tyler Smith earned the win. He gave up one earned run on five hits and three walks in four innings.
The Hawks (2-6, 1-5) travel to Clayton Cleveland today for a 6 p.m. league contest.
SOUTH LENOIR 8, CROATAN 3: At South Lenoir, the Blue Devils won for the third time in their last four games in the East Central 2A Conference win.
Garrett Holland went 2-for-4 with an RBI and scored a run, Cody Ladich and Brett Davis had a hit and drove in a run each and Noah Stroud and Trint Turner added a hit each.
Wyatt Janning picked up the win. He gave up three runs, one earned, on five hits, walked two and struck out five in five innings. Justin Howard gave up two hits and struck out one in two innings of relief.
South Lenoir (4-4, 2-3) travels to Clinton today.
GREENE CENTRAL 4, FARMVILLE CENTRAL 0: At Greene Central, the Rams shutout the Jaguars in an Eastern Plains 2A Conference contest.
Left-hander Ben Brann struck out nine, walked two and gave up three hits in the complete game win.
Austin Batchelor doubled, and Mason Head, Chandler Barrow and Austin Mooring each singled and drove in a run. Greene Central as a team had just five hits.
The Rams (5-3, 4-1) travel to North Pitt today.
PARROTT ACADEMY 12, HENDERSON KERR-VANCE ACADEMY 2 5 INN.: At Grainger Stadium, the Patriots routed their EPIC counterpart.
Josh Spear went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and scored two runs, Charlie King went 2-for-4 with four RBIs, Zacchaeus Rasberry went 2-for-4 with an RBI and scored twice and John McLawhorn had two hits, an RBI and scored twice. Chase Howard, Luke Apperson and Henry Piner had a hit each.
Spear struck out four and gave up two earned runs on two hits in five innings in the win.
Parrott (6-1, 4-1) travels to Harrells Christian Academy on Thursday.
BETHEL CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 10, WILMINGTON CHRISTIAN 5: At Wilmington, the Trojans remained unbeaten in NCCSA play with the win.
Hunter Truett went 3-for-4, Tyler Antwine went 2-for-3 with a double, Davon Edwards and Alex Hardison each went 2-for-4 and Clint Conyers was 2-for-3.
Ben Potter earned the win. He gave up five runs, four earned, on six walks with three strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings in the win.
Bethel (5-3, 4-0) will play at Wilson Christian on Monday.

PARROTT ACADEMY 3, HENDERSON KERR-VANCE ACADEMY 1: At Parrott, the Patriots earned an EPIC win.
Mimi Piner scored two goals and Alicia Jones added a goal as Parrott outshot Kerr-Vance 21-2. Holden Arthur had two assists and Piner had the other.
Parrott (5-3-1, 4-1-1), which fell at Fayetteville Academy 5-2 on Monday, is off until after spring break.
EAST CARTERET 9, KINSTON 0: At Kinston, the Vikings were denied a non-league win.
Erin Stewart had 24 saves on goal for Kinston (2-7-1), which travels to Spring Creek today.
WILMINGTON CHRISTIAN 8, BETHEL CHRISTIAN 1: At Wilmington, the Trojans were defeated in a conference match.
Jensen Worthington scored for Bethel, which was outshot 41-7. Kelsey Worthington had 18 saves in goal.
The Trojans (2-3, 1-2) return to action after spring break.
