The following information was provided by the Kinston Dept. of Public Safety and the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office:
On April 1, a representative of Dooley's Grocery on U.S. 258 South, Deep Run, reported someone broke into their premises and stole the following: Cash totalling $6,000; 48 cans of Bud Light beer valued at $40; five packs of Newport cigarettes valued at $150; Swisher tobacco products valued at $20.
On April 1, a representative of T.A. Loving reported the following stolen from an enclosed trailer: Two pipe saws valued at $1,000 each; Ann 18v battery drill valued at $150; a 118v battery saw-zaw valued at $150; two 4x2 levels valued at $100; three 100ft. extension cords valued at $150.
On April 2, a woman reported her boyfriend fire a gun into an occupied vehicle. The incident was cleared by an arrest. The incident occurred on the 400 block of East Gordon Street, Kinston.
On April 3, a woman on Turkey Path Road, La Grange, reported someone entered her residence, stole the keys to her 2003 Ford vehicle and then stole the vehicle, which was later recovered. The vehicle is valued at $5,000.
On April 4, a representative of the Kinston Dept. of Public Safety reported a subject barricaded himself inside a vehicle and pushed an officer several times. The incident was cleared by an arrest.
On April 4, a man reported a stranger robbed him of a wallet containing $600 at gunpoint. The wallet is valued at $20. The incident occurred in a parking lot on North Myrtle Avenue, Kinston.
On April 5, a woman on Kennedy Home Road, La Grange, reported someone pulled out her hair and pushed her to the ground, resulting in minor injuries. The incident was cleared by an arrest.
On April 6, a woman on Skeeter Pond Road, Grifton, reported someone assaulted her and hit her with a hammer. No injuries were reported.
On April 8, a representative of Kinston Child Care on Rosanne Drive, Kinston, reported someone entered their premises through an unlocked window and stole the following: An air conditioner valued at $200 (recovered); a printer valued at $180; cash totaling $20; a check written to the business totaling $108; a desktop computer valued at $500.
On April 6, a man reported someone brandished a firearm making the victim fear for his life. The incident occurred on the 200 block of South McDaniels Street, Kinston.
On April 6, a woman on Lincoln Street, Kinston, reported someone attempted to gain entry into her home by cutting a mesh screen and prying at a lock. Damages were estimated at $40.
On April 6, it was reported that an acquaintance struck a female and cut a male, resulting in minor injuries.
On April 8, a man on Carolina Avenue, Kinston, reported someone entered an unlocked vehicle. Damages to the vehicle were estimated at $10.
On April 8, a representative of Kinston Child Care reported someone forged checks from their business and cashed them. The check were written in the amounts of $500, $600, $450 and $300.
