(AP) - A North Carolina political strategist who worked for high-profile Democratic candidates has died from stab wounds.
A spokesman for WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh said Wednesday morning that 29-year-old Jamie Kirk Hahn, an Orangeburg native, had died from her injuries.
Hahn and her 27-year-old husband Nation Hahn were stabbed at their home Monday night.
Nation Hahn was released after being treated for his injuries.
A friend of the couple, 31-year-old Jonathan Broyhill, has been arrested and charged with attempted murder. Broyhill also was charged With assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
He also was injured and was being treated at the hospital.
A wedding announcement in a South Carolina newspaper listed Broyhill as the best man at the couple's wedding in 2009.
