Ryan Gieselman just got a big promotion.
The Lenoir County school board on Monday approved Kinston High’s recommendation that Gieselman take over its football program, Athletic Director Perry Tyndall confirmed to The Free Press.
Gieselman had served as an assistant for three seasons under former Vikings head coach Nick Anderson, who resigned in April to take a job in Virginia.
