A registered sex offender already living in Kinston was arrested last week for alleged sexual contact with a 15-year-old in Pamlico County.
On Wednesday, the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office arrested Swindell Leonard Davis, 34, was arrested at 1207 Mewborn Avenue, Kinston. Davis is charged with felony indecent liberties with a child.
“The suspect is wanted for having sexual contact with a 15-year-old female in Pamlico County,” said Dwyane Cobb, a detective with the Pamlico County Sheriff’s Office. “The current charge against Davis is based on one incident, but other charges may be pending.”
Cobb said Davis was already registered as a sex offender when this alleged incident took place.
“Davis has previously been convicted of a sex crime in Virginia,” Cobb said. “He’s currently being held in Pamlico County Jail.”
According to an arrest report obtained from the LCSO, Cobb’s first court appearance was scheduled for Friday. The report also lists a bond amount of $75,000.
