Thursday’s weather washed out the Area I East American Legion division game between Wayne County Post 11 and Kinston Post 43 on Thursday.
No make-up date has been confirmed, although Post 43 athletic officer Terry Boyles said the teams were discussing holding a doubleheader at Mount Olive College when Post 11 entertains Post 43 on Tuesday.
The rainout was the second for Kinston (4-3, 1-1) this week. Post 43’s division game at Rocky Mount Post 58 was postponed on Monday, and that game has yet to be rescheduled.
Post 11 (8-2, 2-1) has now gone eight days in between games, according to the Goldsboro News-Argus. Thursday’s game was to begin a stretch of six division games in six days for Wayne County, four on the road.
