On Friday around12:50 a.m., members of the Kinston Dept. of Public Safety responded to a shots fired call on the 1800 block of Cedar Lane in Kinston.
Upon arrival officers found Robert Dennis Pridgen, Jr., 31, last known address 2007 West Road, Kinston, deceased behind the wheel of a 2005 Lexus.
Pridgen had been struck numerous times in the upper body by gunfire. This incident is still under investigation. Investigators are following up all leads.
