BEAULAVILLE — A Pink Hill man died Sunday night, the result of a head-on collision with a tractor trailer.
According to the state Highway Patrol, Bradley Scott Lanier was driving a 2006 GMC pickup east on N.C. 41, while Timothy Game, of Snow Hill, was traveling west in a 2005 Volvo tractor trailer.
At 7:04 p.m., Lanier, of Pink Hill, crossed the center of the road and struck the tractor trailer, killing himself in the process.
The wreck happened 1.1 miles east of Beulaville.
“We’re not showing any speed and we’re not showing any alcohol,” said NCHP secretary Janet Lewis of the possible reasons for the crash. “All we know is he went left-of-center.”
Lanier was 35 years old.
