Men allegedly break into house, steal TV

A television and some property damage resulted in $45,000 bonds for two Kinston residents on Wednesday.

Officers with the Kinston Department of Public Safety arrested Anthony Gaines and Kyliel Jibri Wade for allegedly breaking into a house on the 1700 block of Lincoln Street, according to KDPS spokesman Woody Spencer.

Gaines, 23, and Wade, 20, were charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, and possession of stolen goods.

They allegedly took from the residence a flat-screen TV with DVD player, valued at $300. Damage to the home, including a broken window, amounted to $25. The arrest occurred in the 100 block of South Cypress Street.

A gray 1997 Ford Taurus GL related to the crime was impounded and placed in storage.
