A 17-year-old man is wanted in connection to a Sunday shooting in the 300 block of Adkin Street.
“(The victim) couldn’t tell us who was shooting at him,” Kinston Department of Public Safety spokesman Woody Spencer said. “We have yet to talk to Rufus Suggs — other witnesses said Rufus Suggs was the shooter, but we have yet to find him and talk to him.”
Suggs is due in Lenoir County District Court today on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to sell or distribute and two probation violations.
Two incident reports were filed on the shooting, which took place shortly after 6 p.m.
Five spent .45-caliber shell casings were found at the site, along with an estimated $20 damage caused to a nearby dumpster.
