Two people were placed behind bars and the items they allegedly stole were returned to the owner.
The breaking and entering incident occurred on June 27 when a resident at 2330 Rouse Road Extension reported to the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office several items were stolen, including a 70-inch television, vacuum cleaner and bedroom suit.
Deputies were able to obtain a description of the suspect vehicle and a possible identity of the suspects.
Through the investigation, Detective David Felton identified the suspects as Temonica Ingram of 2628 Crepe Myrtle Drive and Haywood Edwards III and recovered the stolen property from Ingram’s residence.
Ingram and Edwards were arrested on July 8 and each were charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, and conspiracy to commit breaking and entering with intent to commit larceny — all felonies.
Ingram cooperated with the investigation and gave the detective a full confession, according to a press release.
“Detective Felton was able to not only locate and arrest the suspects, but also recovered the stolen property from the home,” Sheriff Chris Hill said. “The arrest allows the victim and his family to have some closure knowing the suspects have been arrested and charged with these crimes.”
The two suspects were each confined in the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Detention Center under a $30,000 secured bond.
