Photographer addresses Rotarians
Renae Dail, right, introduces Michael Taylor as the weekly Kinston Evening Rotary Club guest speaker. Taylor is a certified professional photographer who specializes in restoring old photo images to present-day quality. The origin of photography dates back to the early 1800s, and many old photos that are important to family history have become worn and hard to see. By using modern computer resources, Taylor ‘brings them back to life.’ Evening Rotary meets at 6 p.m. Tuesdays at the House of Wang.

Farmer’s market has more than veggies
Adele’s Organic Soaps will be back at the Lenoir County Farmer’s Market today, weather permitting. She offers a variety — one is a “cure all” and others are antibacterial, healing, antibiotic, curative and a liniment for stiffness and general discomfort.
John Upsham also has soaps and handmade beeswax candles, along with his organic produce. He, Porter Farms and T.C. Smith have local honey.
Bruce Coley will bring shelled Crowder and Dixie Lee peas, but arrive early before they are sold out. Don’t forget to order pimento cheese or chicken salad from Deanie at Big Oak Farm. Call her ahead at 252-522-0308.
Putnam Family Farms will have fresh eggs from pasture-raised chickens today and probably Tuesday, also. Bill Tilghman may have some, too.
All of this is in addition to the regular seasonal fresh produce available at the market.
