Authorities say a child taken in Greensboro was found with its alleged abductors in Kinston on Friday.
“We got word from (the) Greensboro (Police Department) referencing a kidnapping in Greensboro,” said Woody Spencer, Kinston Department of Public Safety spokesman. “A juvenile was taken from the father’s house. (The GPD) gave us information they may be headed to Kinston.
“The vehicle that they gave us was spotted stopped at Queen and Shine streets. There were two females in the vehicle.”
Shonkeisha Collins, 22, Kinston, and Danielle Letitia Fitzgerald, 23, Raleigh, were arrested and placed into the Lenoir County Detention Center on $100,000 bonds each, set for transport to Greensboro for their court date Monday.
Each is charged in Guilford County of felony abduction of children, felony breaking and entering and felony conspiracy.
