A Kinston woman accused of dealing crack and oxycodone in 2012 turned herself in to authorities on July 23.
According to Kinston Department of Public Safety documents, Latasha Donshea Miller, 31, sold oxycodone on Nov. 3 to a “confidential informant,” and on another occasion three days later sold 44 grams of crack to a confidential informant.
The two buys were made after an investigation by KDPS narcotics officers. Documents associated with the case show police believe Miller conspired with an unknown person named Kimani to deal the crack, and an unnamed Kinston Hotel resident for the oxycodone.
The crimes Miller allegedly committed are organized under two separate unsecured $250,000 bonds. She’s charged with four counts of trafficking cocaine, trafficking, selling and distributing a schedule II controlled substance, conspiracy to traffic cocaine, conspiracy to sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance and two counts of maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances.
A bond worksheet notes the reason Miller received an unsecured bond because she is a disabled cancer patient, and turned herself in after leaving the hospital two days earlier.
Miller is due back in Lenoir County District Court on Aug. 7.
