Fourteen suspects were arrested last week following investigations by the narcotics division of the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office.
With bonds ranging from $2,500 to $1 million, the 14 suspects were caught in possession of or had sold illegal narcotics in Lenoir County, according to the LCSO.
“I cannot be any more pleased with my narcotics detectives and deputies than I am today,” Lenoir County Sheriff Chris Hill said in a statement. “Their hard work continues to make LenoirCounty a safer place to live and work. … The drug dealers of Lenoir Countyhave two options available to them; stop selling drugs or wait for the knock on the door.”
Hill expressed gratitude to several other agencies that participated in the operation, including Kinston Department of Public Safety, the Jones County Sheriff’s Office, the Greenville Police Department, the SBI, ALE, DEA, Department of Homeland Security and N.C. Probation and Parole.
“None of this would have been possible without the assistance of the agencies that participated in this operation,” Hill said.
During the operation, the LCSO reported that 28.1 grams of powder cocaine, 1.5 grams of crack cocaine, 69 grams of marijuana, a 12-gauge shotgun and $1,500 was seized.
