A Kinston woman told police her child’s father and three women assaulted her Monday afternoon.
Kinston Department of Public Safety spokesman Woody Spencer said she was in her vehicle in the 200 block of Lincoln Street when her child’s father pulled up in another car behind her. Both of them exited their vehicles and she told police that the man, Jaquez Herring, pulled her hair and punched her.
She went on to say that three other women got out of the car and assaulted her, but she refused medical treatment at the scene and declined prosecution.
Herring’s due in Lenoir County District Court in September for a misdemeanor communicating threats charge. He was released from state prison in June for an armed robbery conspiracy conviction and will be on parole until March 2014.
