Big Daddy’s Express is a miniature replica of a coal mining train introduced to the Neuseway Nature Park in the spring of 2008. Big Daddy’s Express was brought into the park to “add something else,” says Kinston/Lenoir County Parks and Recreation Director Bill Ellis. The train was originally manufactured in Colorado and funding used to acquire the train was provided by the Barrus family of Kinston.
