Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating the fifth homicide in the city since Thursday.
Police say a man was shot to death at nightclub around 2 a.m. Tuesday. Twenty-two-year-old Dominick Eugene Alexander was taken to Carolinas Medical Center where he died. Police say a short time later another person was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Detectives think the shootings were the result of a dispute outside the club. No arrests have been made.
