Havelock (3-0) at Kinston (2-1)

Kinston dropped the ball last week in what could have been a comeback. The Vikings fell 34-41 to Wilson Fike in Week 3. But they were down 21-0 early when senior caption Tiquan Canady stepped up. He came in at quarterback in the second quarter and didn’t quit. He scored all five of Kinston’s touchdowns with 319 passing yards and an additional 111 rushing.

The Vikings had four turnovers in the loss. Tonight they play defending 3Astate championsHavelock at home. Last week, the Rams beat Jones Senior, 63-0 --- with a band of young guys.

Jessika’s pick: Havelock 34, Kinston 27

North Lenoir (0-3) at Southern Wayne (1-2)

The Hawks rallied back from an early 21-0 deficit to score 22 points before halftime. This shows how much heart the team has as they lost to C.B. Aycock, 42-29.

North Lenoir travels to Southern Wayne tonight. They’re used to playing on the road, so a win is possible because SW has already lost once.

Jessika’s pick: North Lenoir 34, Southern Wayne 30

Richlands (1-2) at South Lenoir (1-2)

It was a huge win for South Lenoir last week when they downed North Duplin, 15-7. Blue Devils quarterback Kyle Huffman accounted for each point.

But they host Richlands, a team that has an identical record to the Blue Devils. Richlands lost last week to a Southwest Onslow team by one point, a team that hammered South Lenoir.

Jessika’s pick: Richlands 36, South Lenoir 14

Eastern Wayne (3-0) at Greene Central (0-3)

Greene Central went down 21-7 to Southwest Edgecombe last week.

Eastern Wayne is undefeated, and the team has beaten their opponent pretty rough so far. The Rams program looks to be headed in the right direction, but they haven’t won yet while EW has won three.

Jessika’s Pick: Eastern Wayne 30, Greene Central 7

Jones Senior (0-3) at Wallace Rose Hill (2-1)

The 1A depth --- or lack thereof --- of Jones Senior is starting to wear on the team. They were hammered last week in a 63-0 loss to Havelock.

They face a lighter opponent in Week 4, and if there’s anyone to beat before conference play kicks off, it’s Rose Hill.

Jessika’s pick: Rose Hill 37, Jones Senior 10

Ayden-Grifton (0-3) at Farmville Central (2-0)

Last week was a bad loss for the Chargers. The team has lost several seniors to injuries, and it’s showing.

The Jaguars are coming off a Pamlico win, and it’s uncertain how many Chargers upperclassmen have healed in a week.

Jessika’s pick: Farmville Central 42, Ayden-Grifton 7

Arendell Parrott Academy (2-0) at Word of God (0-2).

Parrott blew out it’s opponent last week while tallying 90 penalty yards.

Word of God lost badly in Week 2, so if APA can minimize it’s mistakes, this can be another blowout.

Jessika’s pick: Parrott 52, Word of God 13
