(AP) - Investigators say a North Carolina physician and her husband who committed suicide in a Southeast Texas hotel apparently had money trouble.
Details are in a Galveston police report on last summer's deaths of 53-year-old Dr. Leslie Cargile and 58-year-old William Cargile.
Toxicology results found Cargile, who practiced in Black Mountain, N.C., and her spouse took overdoses of prescription drugs.
Sgt. Mark Pilsner, in a police report released last week, indicated the couple lived in an expensive home and apparently had severe financial trouble. Specifics weren't immediately disclosed.
Police believe the couple arrived in Galveston on Aug. 19. Their bodies were discovered Aug. 24 in a Galveston hotel room.
