Ronnie Cox, 31, was clear of his parole sentence for the second day when he was arrested for a July breaking and entering incident.
A Kinston Department of Public Safety incident report states officers arrested Cox at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at his place of employment.
On July 11 around 5:40 p.m., Cox is alleged to have broken into a home on the 1200 block of Dunn Road. Police say he stole a digital single-lens reflex camera valued at $700, a 55-250mm lens valued at $400 and a black laptop of unknown value.
“He went through the bedroom window and took those items,” KDPS spokesman Woody Spencer said.
All items were recovered.
Cox served time in state prison in December 2012 for assault inflicting serious injury on a law enforcement, probation or parole officer. The remainder of his sentence he served on parole, which ended Sunday.
Cox received a $25,000 bond and appeared in Lenoir County District Court on Wednesday.
