Woodington Church children donate food

The children of Woodington United Methodist Church recently challenged the congregation to donate jars of peanut butter and jelly and loaves of bread for a food drive to benefit the Friends of the Homeless Shelter.

The idea came from a children’s sermon delivered by Sarah Bostic which revolved around the miracle of Jesus feeding thousands with just two small fish and a few loaves of bread.

The congregation accepted the challenge and the children gathered up the donated food into a wagon, which was delivered to the shelter.
