On Tuesday evening around 6:36 p.m., members of the Kinston Dept. of Public Safety responded to an armed robbery call at the Wok-N-Roll Restaurant at 2424 North Herritage Street.

Witnesses told officers 3 to 5 masked subjects entered the store and demanded money. One of the subjects was armed with what witnesses described as a shotgun. An unknown amount of cash was taken during the robbery.

No one was injured during this incident. Investigators are following up all leads.

"At this time we don't know if the suspects fled on foot or had access to a vehicle," said Woody Spencer of the KDPS. "This is the time of year when people are going to be looking to get something for nothing. We advise the public to call 911 if they see anything suspicious; we'll send someone to check it out."

As of this writing there is no surveilance footage of the incident.
