Prep Basketball:
BETHEL CHRISTIAN 64, TRINITY CHRISTIAN 50
The Bethel varsity boys won over Trinity Christian Tuesday. The Trojans were led by Davon Edwards’ double-double with 27 points and 19 rebounds. Hunter Truett had 16 points and Ryan McCleary had 10. BCA improved to 2-0 in the conference.
The girls’ basketball team beat the Tigers, 43-32. Kelsey Worthington led the Trojans with 28 points, while Jensen Worthington had 10. The Trojans are 1-1 in the conference.
The Bethel basketball teams will compete in a Christmas tournament today and Saturday.
GREENE CENTRAL 60, C.B. AYCOCK 53
The Rams were led by a team-high 10 points from Antoine Davis and Kevin Ormond, respectively, as they defeated C.B. Aycock Wednesday. Greene Central improved to a 4-1 record.
GC outscored the Golden Falcons (3-3) by 15 points in the second half to help elevate the team to the non-conference win, while shooting 60 percent from the free throw line.
The Rams travel to rival Farmville Central tonight.
ARENDELL PARROTT 53, FAITH CHRISTIAN 50
John McLawhorn had 15 points and 16 rebounds as Parrott improved to a 2-0 record in the conference with Tuesday’s win over FCA. The Patriots are 2-3 overall.
Caleb Quinn had 13 points, while Pierce Beaman had 12.
APA travels to Rocky Mount Academy tonight.
