Hairr-Rogers

Jessica Ann Hairr and Thomas Washington Rogers IV, both of Kinston, were united in marriage at 5 p.m. Oct. 19, 2013, at The Islander in Emerald Isle. The Rev. Ivy White was the officiating minister.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of Joe and Susan Hairr of Kinston.

A graduate of ECU, she is a community relations specialist with 3HC Home Health & Hospice Care.

The groom is the son of Jerry and Dawn Sutton of Greenville. He is the grandson of Helen Rogers of Kinston and Ruth Fleming of La Grange.

A graduate of J.H. Rose High School, he is a maintenance mechanic with Smithfield Packing.

The bride wore an ivory cap sleeve, lace over satin A-line gown with an illusion back; the intricate beaded detailing flowed onto a chapel length train. Her ivory colored organza floral comb was adorned with Swarovski crystals and pearl accents. She carried a bouquet of ivory Gerbera daisies, hydrangea, coral roses and hypericum berries.

Matrons of honor were Rachael Banks of Apex and the bride’s sister, Stephanie Wilson of Kinston.

Bridesmaids were Nikki Sutton of Winterville; Jessica Batchelor, Ashley Wooten, and Crystal Taylor, all of Kinston.

The bride’s niece, McKinley Wilson of Kinston was flower girl.

The groom’s father served as his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Logan Sutton, brother of the groom of Greenville; Jason Lee of Dover; Barnaby Conklin, cousin of the groom of Kinston; and Chris Rouse and Ron Cullipher, also of Kinston.

The groom’s cousin, Daniel Millard of Goldsboro was ring bearer.

Program attendant was Brooke Wade of Raleigh.

Following the ceremony the bride’s parents hosted a reception at The Islander.

After a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple resides in Kinston
