Boys’ basketball:
KERR-VANCE 64, ARENDELL PARROTT 56
Being outscored 20-9 in the third quarter was a factor in Parrott’s loss in Henderson Tuesday night.
The Patriots had a three-point advantage going into the third period as they led, 28-25, but they couldn’t hold it.
Caleb Quinn led Parrott’s scoring corps with 14, as the Patriots shot 35 percent from the field. The team had 27 rebounds — led by John McLawhorn’s six — and five steals.
APA (2-6) has a break until Jan. 3, when it travels to Wayne Country Day School.
NEUSE CHARTER 78, BETHEL 38
Neuse Charter left Kinston with a 40-point win over the Trojans Tuesday night. Bethel’s Davon Edwards recorded a double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds.
The varsity girls beat the visiting Cougars, 45-25. Kelsey Worthington led the Trojans with 20 points.
Bethel plays at Greeneville tonight.
