Police believe that two suspects entered a residence, tied up a family, and left empty-handed Wednesday night.

According to the Kinston Department of Public Safety, there was a knock on the door at a residence in the 1400 block of Lockwood Road and a 3-year-old child answered it – that’s allegedly when two black men entered the home.

One man carried a handgun, and they tied up three victims and searched the residence.

Officers responding to scene around 6:18 p.m. were told by the homeowner that the suspects left without apparently taking anything.

The investigation is ongoing. If you have any information on the incident, you’re encouraged to call the tips line at 252-939-4020 or the investigating detective at 252-939-3189.
