A robbery resulted in the theft of five televisions from a private student dormitory Friday on North Herritage Street.
“According to the report, the suspect or suspects gained entry by breaking through a window in Room 13, and then they gained entry to other rooms in the dormitory through the ceiling and stole the televisions,” said Woody Spencer, spokesman for the Kinston Department of Public Safety.
The incident occurred sometime between 7 p.m. Thursday and 11 p.m. Friday.
Items stolen included an $800 40-inch television, a $400 32-inch television, a $300 32-inch television, a $250 27-inch television and a $100 15-inch television.
Damaged in the burglary were a window valued at $500 and an additional $500 in ceiling damage.
Investigators don’t yet have a suspect and the case is ongoing.
