The following decisions were reached in Lenoir County district court in Jan, 2013. The presiding judge was the Hon. Tim Finan. Matters may be resolved as the result of a guilty plea or dismissal negotiated with the district attorney without a trial. Matters may also be resolved as the result of a trial during which the judge dismisses the case for insufficient evidence or renders a verdict of innocence or guilt. Jerome NMN Brown, possess drug paraphernalia, pleaded guilty, sentenced to 36 days in the Lenoir County jail. Resisting public officer, case dismissed.
James Edward Darden, possess marijuana up to 1/2 ounce, pleaded guilty, sentenced to 15 days in the Lenoir County jail, suspended to 12 months unsupervised probation.
James Edward Haddock, possess/consume beer/wine/unauthorized premises, case dismissed.
Cody Allen Holden, larceny, pleaded guilty, sentenced to 15 days in the Lenoir County jail, suspended to 12 months unsupervised probation.
Marjorie Byrd Price, reckless driving to endanger, case dismissed.
George Dwayne Pridgen, driving while impaired, pleaded guilty, sentenced to 60 days in the Lenoir County jail, suspended to 12 months unsupervised probation.
Brianna Radcliffe, resisting public officer, case dismissed.
Dontrel Tysean Smith, simple possession of schedule VI, guilty, sentenced to 15 days in the Lenoir County jail, suspended to 12 months unsupervised probation.
Amanda Faye Summerlin, shoplifting, pleaded guilty, sentenced to five days in the Lenoir County jail, suspended to six months unsupervised probation.
Michael Wayne Tasker, driving while impaired, pleaded guilty, sentenced to 60 days in the Lenoir County jail, suspended to 12 months unsupervised probation.
