The following restaurant inspection results were provided by the Lenoir County Health Department:
 
Two Dogs Pizza
104 S. Kinston Blvd., Pink Hill
Score: 100
Inspection date: Dec. 27, 2012
 
Observations:
 
Damaged knife stored as clean on utensil magnet with other clean utensils the pulled for use; has not been cleaned thoroughly - discarded due to damage.
Potentially hazardous foods that are not used within 24-hrs shall be date-marked.
Spray bottle of chemical is not labeled.
Waste receptacle in ladies restroom is not covered.
No waste receptacle located at hand-wash sink in kitchen.

Observations:
 
Employees are not aware of their responsibility to report.
Few utensils and ice machine baffle have not been cleaned thoroughly.
Covered pans of dough stored under empty pan which catches dripping condensation in walk-in. Appears to be no food contamination, but get this repaired ASAP.
Few utensils stacked wet.
Several non-food surfaces have grease build-up.
Dumpster door is open.
Floor in dish machine area needs grout
Walls and ceiling are soiled.

Observations: 
 
Need to label pans of sanitizer.
Sanitizer was not showing proper strength.
Need to air-dry pans.
Plastic cups stored too close to hand-wash sink.
Finish coming off coated racks above sink.
Need trash can at each hand-wash sink.
Floors, walls - some maintenance needed.
Some cleaning needed.

Observations:
 
By Jan. 1, 2014 a certified food protection manager must be on site during all hours of operation.
Meat sauce was not reaching proper reheat temperature in two hours (165F).
Fried wings under heat lamps not maintaining 135F. 
Need to work on date-marking.
Sanitizer buckets/bottles must be properly labelled.
One thermometer out of calibration.
Containers holding sugar, salt, etc. should be labelled w/ common name of food.
Wiping cloths - once they become damp, need to be stored in bucket of proper strength sanitizer.
Do not reuse plastic food/spice buckets.
Single-use gloves need to be changed more often.
Some repair issues: Duct tape on sneeze guard over desserts; walk-in cooler door/floor.
Outdoor area - dumpster is supposed to sit on nonabsorbent material; smooth, durable slope to drain.
Need trash cans at kitchen hand-sinks.
