3 suspected dealers charged in La Grange drug raid

A six-month-long investigation into drug sales and use in the La Grange area by the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office culminated in the arrest of three suspected drug dealers Friday.

Charged were:

-- Patrick Shauntaze Blount, 35, of 1687 Davis Hardy Road, Seven Springs, two counts of possession with the intent to sell and deliver cocaine and two counts of delivering cocaine. Blount’s bond was set at $5,000.

-- George Earl Johnson Sr., 74, of 2448 Sutton Loop Road, La Grange, six counts of trafficking opium/heroin and two counts of maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for controlled substances. Johnson’s bond was set at $300,000.

-- Keith Harris, of 105 Ed Herring Road, La Grange, two counts of possession with the intent to sell deliver cocaine. Harris was placed under a $20,000 bond.

Alfredo Gomez, 20, of 4184 Turkey Path Road, La Grange, was charged with possession up to one half-ounce of marijuana, with bond set at $300. Gomez was allegedly found with marijuana while the investigators were attempting to serve the warrants on other persons.
