Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Jones of Grifton celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 26, 2012. A reception given by the couple’s children — Marsha J. Meadows of Kinston, Merrill G. Jones II of Greenville and Myra Lewis of Kernersville — was held at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church.
The couple has five grandchildren — Stephanie and Ethan Meadows, Thomas and Ellen Jones, and Ava Grace Lewis.
Mrs. Jones is the former Joyce Faye Boyd of Greenville. She is retired from Jones Tax Service.
Mr. Jones is retired from DuPont and Jones Tax Service.
The couple was married Sept. 2, 1962, at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church.
