The fickle weather of this time of the year seems to offer just enough of a tease to spring to get us longing for those late, warm evenings.
Chilly weather and rain have been a dominant force early in the year, but after a sunny day here and there, things have gotten quite a bit more colorful in Kinston, proving that spring is just around the corner.
A short drive down any of the roadways in the area results in seeing clusters of bright yellow daffodils along the roads and in fields. Likewise, a close look at homes and businesses is beginning to yield the sight of freshly planted or bloomed flowers. Buds and blossoms are beginning to form on trees as the browns of the winter months give way to the greens of spring.
