Next ‘Second Sunday’ to feature ‘Big Band, Ballads and Broadway’

Grainger Hill’s Second Sunday Series will present “Big Band Sounds, Ballads and Broadway,” featuring Earle Abernethy, drums; Carol Ann Tucker, vocals; Jimmy Aycock, piano; and David Adduddel, bass.

Presented by the Grainger Hill Performing Arts Center, in conjunction with the Community Council for the Arts, the event will be at 3 p.m. April 14 at the CCA, 400 N. Queen St. After expenses, all proceeds will help maintain historic Grainger Hill PAC, a regional, cultural and civic center at 300 Park Ave. which serves audiences throughout a multi-county region.

Tickets, $10 in advance and $12 at the door, are available at the CCA, 252-527-2517, or Total Experience, 252-527-8515. Tax deductible donations also can be mailed to Grainger Hill Performing Arts Center, P.O. Box 1334, Kinston, NC 28503.

The last of the four-part series will be at 3 p.m. May 12, featuring The Ray and Bobby Band with “Country, Light Rock and Bluegrass.”
