The South Lenoir High School FFA team cooked a barbecue chicken dinner April 11 for the Lenoir County Hunter Association.
The dinner was in appreciation of the group’s annual monetary gift and support of the FFA Hunter Safety Education program. The team members displayed the team trophies they have won this year, representing winnings that qualified them to go to the state tournament April 27 at Camp Millstone near Ellerbe.
The dinner also was an effort to thank the club for their financial help toward expenses associated with the state tournament.
