Firefighters gather equipment as they respond to a fire alarm Monday at Kinston Fibers on Neuse Road. The Kinston Department of Public Safety responded to Kinston Fibers around 11:15 a.m. when a call came in reporting a structure fire. ‘It looks right now like fire in the duct work, so we’re pressurizing the building right now,” Kinston Department of Public Safety Director Bill Johnson said as fire crews investigated the incident. A fire took place at the location in November 2011, burning for 30 hours before it could be put out.
