Gathering Time to perform this weekend

Lovers of the three-part harmonies of Crosby, Stills and Nash should be sure to catch Gathering Time this weekend.

This trio from Long Island, N.Y., has created a blend of guitars, voices and light percussion to create a wall of sound that delights the ears. The original songs of Hillary Foxsong, Stuart Markus and Glen Roethel show influences of the Eagles and the Byrds, and the classics they sprinkle in among their own songs draw raves from their audiences. Enjoy the smooth guitar mastery and blending of voices that is perfection when this trio takes the stage.

They will perform at 8 p.m. Friday at Trent River Coffee Company, 208 Craven St., New Bern, and 8 p.m. Saturday at Clawson’s Restaurant, 425 Front St., Beaufort. Doors open at 7 p.m. General admission is $15; active duty military and Down East FolkArts Society members, $12; and full-time students, $8.
