Sometime between 9:15 a.m. and 9 p.m. Saturday, someone shot into a house on the 2500 block of Old Snow Hill Road in Kinston.
The bullet, from an undetermined firearm, struck four walls and caused $125 damage.
“(The victim) found four walls damaged by a bullet. It passed through the walls, and was lodged in a wall,” said Woody Spencer, spokesman for the Kinston Department of Public Safety. “She couldn’t advise if it happened overnight, or if it happened when she was away during the day, but she was not home at the time.”
The bullet slug was taken into evidence. Whomever committed the act is potentially subject to a charge or criminal damage to property and illegal discharge of a firearm.
The case remains under investigation.
