Larry Wayne — along with Dixon, James, Melissa Morgan and Willie James — treated the children to all the watermelon they could eat. This is the fourth year the volunteers held the event with money raised from donations during Holloway’s softball season. The donations purchased 30 watermelons from Neal Farms. Wayne said he wanted to do something positive for the children and, ‘The more you give them, the more they will pay attention.’
