For William Lee Dove, it isn’t the story of the fish that got away. Instead, he smiles at the thought of reeling in a large fish. As shores and riverbanks begin to fill with fisherman, 92-year-old Dove doesn’t have far to look to see his big catches. A mounted 23-pound amberjack hangs on his wall and an 8x10 photo of his largest fish to date sits in his living room. Dove loves to be on the water. He, along with his son William Henry Dove, brother Henry, and son J.C., all witnessed his hour and a half battle with an 87-pound wahoo.
