Stacey Elaine Dudley and Dr. Kenneth Reid Marsh, both of Raleigh, were united in marriage at 6 p.m. June 8, 2013, at Gordon Street Christian Church in Kinston. The Rev. Mark Benson performed the ceremony.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of David and Elaine Dudley of Kinston. She is the granddaughter of the late Nathaniel and Leila Kennedy, who lived in Pink Hill, and the late Ralph and Nita Dudley, who lived in Kinston.

The bride is a graduate of North Lenoir High School and earned biochemistry and chemistry degrees from N.C. State University. She then earned a Doctorate of Pharmacy from UNC and is a consultant pharmacist with PPD, Inc.

The groom is the son of Reid and Kim Marsh of High Point, and Debby and Jerry Mullin of Bolivia. He is the grandson of the late Reid and Marie Marsh and the late Harold and Geraldine Wall, all of whom lived in High Point.

A graduate of Southwest Guilford High School, the groom earned a degree in textile management from N.C. State University. He later earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from UNC and practices dentistry in Creedmoor.

Jenny Dawson Edwards of Kinston and Dr. Stacy Elizabeth Banks of Palo Alto, Calif., served as the matrons of honor.

Honorary bridesmaids included Lauren DeBolt Lenn of New Bern; Margaret Holt Mackintosh of Charleston, S.C.; Katie Joanne Marlowe of Elizabethtown; Lauren Henretta Shelton of Charlotte; Deana Layton Spainhour of Huntersville; and Summer Morgan Triompo of Denver, N.C.

Serving as best men were the groom’s father and his brother, Jeffrey Dodson Marsh of Raleigh.

Ushers included Jeffrey Dwayne Farris Jr. of Raleigh; Dr. Travis Martin Hicks of Raleigh; William Cannon Kretzer of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; Bradley Thomas Lowe of Greensboro; Dr. Jonathan Randall Moss of Charlotte; and John Alexander Petretich of Raleigh.

Arioso Strings of Cary and Tim Price of Kinston provided music for the ceremony.

Wedding director was Sharon Ginn of Snow Hill; register and program attendants included Candice Turner Potter of Trenton and Courtney Lupton Hicks of Raleigh.

Following a wedding trip to Nevis, West Indies, the couple resides in Raleigh.

 

Reception/parties

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at The Bentley Bed and Breakfast Inn in Kinston.

On March 10, Jeff Marsh, the groom’s brother, as well as friends of the bride and groom hosted a stock-the-bar party at Churchill’s in Raleigh.

On March 23, a bridal shower was held by Ann Wagner, Amy Brink and Erin Wagner at NOFO Café in Raleigh.

On April 13, a bridal shower was given by Joan Hardy, Ann Howard, Faye Phillips, Kay Small, Teresa Smith and Ann Sykes at The Folded Napkin in Kinston.

On June 7, Jenny Dawson and Kay Small hosted a bridesmaids’ luncheon at Olivia’s at Frenchman’s Creek in Kinston.

On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner and dance at the Chef & the Farmer in Kinston.
