The following information was provided by the Kinston Dept. of Public Safety and the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office:
On Sept. 1, a woman on Acre Ridge Drive, Kinston, reported someone broke into her residence and stole items valued at $445. Damages to the residence were estimated at $150.
On Sept. 1, a woman reported someone broke into her vehicle and stole items valued at $310. Damages to the vehicle were estimated at $100. The incident occurred in a parking lot on East New Bern Road, Kinston.
On Sept. 2, a woman on N.C. 58 North, Kinston, reported someone broke into her residence and stole items valued at $190.
On Sept. 2, a man on N.C. 258 South, Kinston, reported someone broke into a vehicle and outbuilding. A .38 caliber pistol (value estimate not listed) was reported stolen. Damages were estimated at $100.
On Sept. 3, a man on York Street, Kinston, reported the theft of silverware valued at $15,000.
On Sept. 3, an employee at a health care facility on North Queen Street, Kinston, reported a case of sexual battery.
On Sept. 3, a man on Summer Hill Terrace, Kinston, reported someone stole his 2011 Jeep Grand Cheerokee (valued at $25,000) which was later recovered. Also reported stolen were cigarettes valued at $40, a men's wallet valued at $20, a Taurus .38 caliber gun valued at $600, and a gun holster valued at $50.
On Sept. 4, a woman on Greg's Drive, La Grange, reported someone broke into her residence and stole items valued at $900. Damages to a door/frame were estimated at $300.
On Sept. 4, a woman on Red Oak Drive, Grifton, reported someone broke into her residence and stole items valued at $300. Damages were estimated at $50.
On Sept. 4, a student at Kinston High School reported $100 had been stolen from his locker.
On Sept. 4, an employee of JC Penney on Hardee Road, Kinston, reported someone stole clothing valued at $113. The items were recovered; prosecution was declined.
On Sept. 4, an employee of Belk's on Hardee Road, Kinston, reported someone removed and electronic security tag from merchandise. The incident was cleared by an arrest.
On Sept. 5, an employee of a medical facility on North Queen Street, Kinston, reported an acquaintance threatened to shoot her.
