A man visiting his daughter Nov. 18 ended up handing over $100 to a robber.
“The victim stated he was pulling into his daughter’s house when a black male wearing a white shirt with what he said was ‘a weird design on the front’ approached him and asked if he had a couple dollars to spare,” said Woody Spencer, spokesman for the Kinston Department of Public Safety. “When he reached into his pocket to get a couple dollars, the guy just pulled (a gun) and said ‘Give me all you got.’”
The incident occurred in the 200 block of South East Street, around 12:33 p.m.
Police immediately reported to the scene and investigated nearby, but officers were unable to find a suspect who matched the description.
